Thank you to our students, parents and staff for participating in the Honolulu 5K! It was a great way to spend a Sunday morning promoting fitness for our Keiki! Thanks to everyone who participated!

Thank you to our parents, teachers, students and staff who participated in our campus beautification day! The wonderful team of volunteers helped to weed, plant, trim and paint. Everyone worked hard to keep our campus the beautiful place that it is. Thank you to our community contributors! A special thanks to Wal Mart, Target, Costco, and the Hawaii USA Federal Credit Union for their donations.

E-cigarettes are considered contraband in public schools.
Students who are in violation of the offense will be subject to disciplinary action.

Join the Kapolei Elementary Student Council, School Community Council, KES Ohana, Parent Community Networking Coordinators (PCNC), and community organizations for Campus Beautification Day! Contact the PCNC @ 693-7000 ext. 262 by April 12 to participate.

The Honolulu 5K is an event to help promote health and fitness for Hawaii's children as well as their families to create a more active and health lifestyle. Proceeds from the event will be distributed to the schools based on each individual school's participation and will be used to help enhance or improve the physical fitness, play and athletic programs within the schools. Congratulations to Vice Principal Arakawa for being named the Leeward Vice Principal of the Year! Vice Principal Arakawa was selected due to his strong leadership, commitment to education, solid work ethic and his natural ability to build positive relationships with the faculty, staff, students, parents and community. We are so proud to have Vice Principal Arakawa at Kapolei Elementary! Congratulations!

The 2013 Song Fest Celebration will be held on Friday, March 22.
School ends at 1:15 p.m. on this day.

Please note the following changes:

Wednesday, March 20, school will end at 2:00 p.m.
Friday, March 22, school will end at 1:15 p.m.

Kapolei Elementary School is supporting the military community by participaing in an Adopt-a-Soldier campaign. Students in grades 3-5 from various classes sent out letters and care packages to a few troops in Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan who are overseas during the holiday season. We appreciate our military families! Aloha and Mahalo Soldiers!
